Raised in a strong Christian home all of his life, and in an Assembly of God Church, Pastor Dwayn knew at a very young age that God was calling him to preach the gospel.
He and his wife Judy met at the age of 13 and went together all through high school. Two weeks after graduation they were married in the church Dwayn grew up in. God blessed them with their son Rob in 1969 and their daughter Regina in 1971. You could say that Dwayn and Judy grew up with their children and the four of them grew up as very good friends.
After working in their church as Youth Leader for two years they began to prepare for full-time ministry.
In 1974 they took their two young children and began preaching the gospel first as Youth Pastors and then as Senior Pastors.
One night God gave them both a vision of three words that would define their ministry. Those three words were touch, love, and listen. In so many ways, these three words have had great meaning and definition of Dwayn and Judy's ministry through the years. Their desire is to "touch" people physically with a hug or a friendly smile. To "love" people with the unconditional love of Christ, and to always take the time to "listen" to the heart of those around them so people know they care.
God has blessed them with a wonderful daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Monica and Stephen. They are also proud grandparents to one granddaughter Ashlynn, and four grandsons, Ethan, Dylan, Nathan, and Brayden. Their family connection has always been very valuable to them and they feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work together as staff and friends in their current place of ministry in Loomis.
After being in Ministry now for almost 37 years, Dwayn and Judy still enjoy touching people with the love of Christ, and their desire is to be found faithful to their calling even when it seems the hardest.
