WHAT IS WOMEN'S MINISTRIES?
It is simply the ministry of all the women in the church, ranging from musicians, Sunday school teachers, nursery attendants, secretaries, prayer partners and others. Women's Ministries is comprised of women who seek to share the Good News with people in their community, their district, and around the world.
PRAYER...OUR PRIORITY
The spiritual dimension is the foundation of Women's Ministries. Prayer has been an emphasis since its beginning. We realize that more can be accomplished through prayer than by all the combined giving and doing of every lady.
MISSIONS...OUR PURPOSE
The ultimate purpose of our ministry is to reach the world for Jesus. Everything we do must be redemptive, helping to fulfill the Great Commission, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel" (Mark 16:15).
MINISTRY...OUR GOAL
The pressures of our society weigh heavily on women. Women not only have personal needs, but other needs that have to be ministered to that are common to us all. First, women have a basic need for fellowship because we are social creatures. Second, women have a love for beauty, which is an important dimension in our lives. God has given us a beautiful world to live in, demonstrating to us the values of beauty. Third, women have inner needs that may not be visible on the surface---mental, emotional, and spiritual needs that make up the wholeness of the person. Women need direction for living a Christian life in an ungodly world.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
There are several areas of ministry available to the women of First Assembly. We are in need of ladies who like to cook, care for children of all ages, decorate, plan, study, help, and encourage. There is a "YOU"-shaped spot in Women's Ministries!
So why have Women's Ministries? First, to fulfill the Great Commission and second, to serve as a means through which women can develop and grow in their Christian life through productive and meaningful involvement.
